backpackerboard NZ (www.backpackerboard.co.nz) was launched in 2002 as an online notice board for backpackers to buy and sell. In the last five years, it has become the largest online portal devoted to backpacking in New Zealand. As well as plenty of travel information, it offers live job listings and special deals for backpackers.

In 2007 a sister Australian site http://www.backpackerboard.com/ was launched to provide the same information and services to backpackers heading to Australia.
